How UAD Plugin Mate handles your data — in plain English.

← Back to UAD Plugin Mate

1. Who we are (the controller)

The controller responsible for your data on this site is:

PIXIP.NET Technologies GmbH
Carl-Zeiss-Ring 21, 85737 Ismaning, Germany
Email: uadpluginmate@avinstudios.com

Full legal details are on our Imprint.

2. What we collect & why (with legal bases)

Downloading UAD Plugin Mate is free and needs no account — you can use the whole site without giving us any personal data. We only ever collect what you choose to give us, for the specific purpose you chose it for:

Newsletter. If you sign up for product news, we store your name and email address. We do this only with your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)), and we confirm that consent with a double opt-in: we email you a link and add you only after you click it.

Feedback / contact. If you send us feedback or a message, we store your name, email address and the message so we can read it and reply to you. The legal basis is your consent and the steps needed to respond to your request (Art. 6(1)(a), and Art. 6(1)(b)/(f) for answering you).

Optional download registration. If you choose to register for a permanent, personal download link, we store your name, email address and which platform you use (macOS or Windows). We use this to create and re-send your own download link. The legal basis is performing the service you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b)), confirmed by double opt-in.

Anonymous, aggregate usage statistics. So we can see roughly how many people visit and download — and from which country, operating system, browser and device class — we count page views and downloads. These counts are aggregate only: we do not store your IP address and the figures are never linked to you or to any named person. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).

3. No cookies, no tracking

The public website sets no cookies and uses no third-party scripts, analytics SaaS, advertising or tracking pixels of any kind. Because nothing is tracked and no cookies are set, there is no cookie-consent banner to click through. The only cookie anywhere on this domain is a single session cookie used to keep an administrator logged in to the private admin area — it never touches public visitors.

4. How your email is sent

Any email we send you (a confirmation link, the newsletter, a reply to your feedback, your download link) is sent from our own mailbox at Strato. No third-party email service or marketing processor ever receives your address.

Strato AG (Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany) hosts this website and provides that mailbox, so it acts as our processor under a data-processing agreement (GDPR Art. 28). It processes data only on our instructions.

5. How long we keep your data (retention)

We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it:

Unconfirmed sign-ups (you started a newsletter or registration sign-up but never clicked the confirmation link) are deleted automatically after 7 days.

Newsletter contacts are kept until you unsubscribe; after you unsubscribe we remove you, retaining only a short grace-period record to honour your opt-out before that too is deleted.

Registered users (people with a personal download link) are deleted after a long period of download-link inactivity.

Feedback messages are deleted some months after we have dealt with them.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected, erased or its processing restricted, to data portability, to object to processing, and to withdraw any consent at any time (withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened).

We make exercising these rights easy and self-service:

Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Every email we send also links to a "manage your data" page where you can — in one click — re-send your download link, unsubscribe, or delete all of your data at once. You don't have to write to us to do any of this.

You can of course also contact us directly at uadpluginmate@avinstudios.com, and we will respond to any request within one month (GDPR Art. 12(3)).

7. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your data unlawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — for example the one in the EU member state where you live, work, or where the issue occurred.

8. Updates to this policy

This is the English-language version of our Privacy Policy and is the version that applies. We may update it from time to time — for example if we add a feature or change a provider — and the current version always lives on this page.
